How the overtime estimate works
Hours up to your regular threshold are multiplied by the base hourly rate. Hours above that threshold are multiplied by your overtime multiplier. If you provide a double-time threshold, hours above it are calculated separately using the double-time multiplier.
Why the thresholds are editable
Pay arrangements and applicable rules vary. Rather than silently assuming one policy fits everyone, this calculator lets you enter the threshold and multipliers you actually need.
