How the work-hours calculation works
For each workday, the calculator subtracts your unpaid break from the elapsed time between clock-in and clock-out. If the end time is earlier than the start time, the shift is treated as crossing midnight. The selected daily schedule is then repeated for the number of days you enter.
Overtime and rounding
The overtime split uses the threshold and multiplier you choose. Optional rounding is applied to each daily shift before the weekly total. Payroll and overtime rules vary by employer and jurisdiction, so use the settings that match the policy that actually applies to you.
